“In the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, a small community of Cambodian Muslims live half their lives on the water.” (The Diplomat, February 2016).

HBB always believe that volunteering give you chance to give a little back to the world that is full of surprises! The moment we give is actually the right time we received. It could be in form of blessings or love from the people who always there for us. Just like the cheerful grins of these Cambodian kids!

We can never thanked enough for having this bunch of volunteers – and also everyone out there – who are willingly to share the same passion with us.

There were 2 young Malaysians that volunteered at HBB Clinic Phnom Penh, Cambodia for 5 days from 24th till 28th of August. Basically, we were doing the house boat visits at the confluence of the Mekong and Cambodia’s Tonle Sap river for free health screening to these unfortunate people, which majority of them consists of Muslims. We were greeted with "assalamualaikum" rather than the normal sues-dei uttered by Khmers. It was such a warm feeling to see the cheerful smiles of the community that welcomed us the moment we reached the houseboat area. The kids were running & cheering joyful at us all the time. It was the appreciation gestures from these people that always making us sincere in doing our part.

Meanwhile, HBB took some pictures that clearly showed the status quo of the community of houseboat in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We were so handful that time is limited. Pregnant mothers, toddlers and even old folks were joining the free health screening. We were busy doing the health screening that we didn’t even realize that it was almost late evening! So, join & play your part as well everyone. You may donate to us to ensure these unfortunate people to continue sustain for their healthcare. Any amounts of donations are really helpful to them! It’s never too late to contribute for our cause.
